Vincent Logistics

We had the chance to interview Didier GLESNER, the IT Manager at the transport company Vincent Logistics. This testimonial will focus on Dashdoc's contribution to the digital transformation of processes at Vincent Logistics through the various advantages of the electronic consignment note (eCMR).

Presentation of Vincent Logistics with Didier Glesner

Didier has been working at Vincent Logistics as the IT Manager for the logistics sector for 6 years now.

Didier Glesner

With over 50 years in business, Vincent Logistics is a family-owned transport company. They have a total of 280 employees and 160 motor vehicles. They specialize in tarpaulin transport of palletized goods and in flatbed transport of machinery in the Benelux market, mainly Belgium, the Netherlands, and Western Germany.

How did Dashdoc contribute to the digital transformation of Vincent Logistics?

Following the launch of a new project last year with Knauf, Vincent Logistics saw the opportunity to improve pallet exchanges with a solution that would eliminate all paper documents. This led them to eCMR from Dashdoc:

Within two or three days, we launched the Dashdoc test environment and I quickly found that the transport management software worked very well. Implementation with Dashdoc was much more efficient and quicker compared to reading the manuals of other providers.

The implementation of the eCMR began in January 2021 with the Knauf project and thanks to this innovation, Vincent Logistics now completes at least 500 deliveries per week in Belgium, with fast and instant data feedback related to transport, without having to wait two days to retrieve the transport documents.

What are the main advantages of eCMR with Dashdoc?

Didier Glesner shares with you the top 3 advantages of Dashdoc:

1) Real-time visibility on pallet exchanges: traceability and instant customer information feedback, which can be very costly if not managed properly.

2) Digitalization of transport documents: to monitor ongoing transports with electronic signatures or taking photos of signed paper documents or damaged goods.

3) Significant reduction in customer calls: Dashdoc's collaborative platform allows you to check if the goods have been delivered.

The process before Dashdoc

In road transport, paper consignment notes tend to get lost and their administrative management can be quite lengthy:

At Vincent Logistics, in Belgium or Luxembourg, we had someone in charge of scanning all the consignment notes as PDFs once brought back by the driver, and then filing them in customer folders. So we looked to improve this manual process, which took up all that person's time for a rather time-consuming task. Dashdoc allowed us to improve the administrative management of transport documents thanks to the eCMR.

The gains with Dashdoc

Although this digital solution is not as intuitive for everyone, particularly senior drivers, Vincent Logistics continues to promote the advantages of eCMR by training their drivers to use these technologies.

Attention! Although entering information is simplified, as with the international paper consignment note, a poorly filled transport document still results in a fine.

A new client contacted us to work with us but was sending CMR paper forms by fax. So we offered Dashdoc so they could send their transports directly, and the next day that client had already started sending us their first transports. Since then, we handle all that client's shipments. This order-taking solution was set up in just 48 hours.
