The TMS solution Dashdoc streamlines waste shipments at Cebenax and saves two full days of productivity.
The beginning of the story between Cebenax and Dashdoc
How long has Cebenax been using the Dashdoc TMS?
A year ago, in 2022, the waste transporter Cebenax replaced paper management with the transport management system (TMS, Transport Management System) from Dashdoc. This significantly simplified and automated administration and saved two complete working days each week.
Another advantage is that the transporter is now ready for the introduction of the digital consignment note (the advantages of the e-CMR), which will be mandatory for all waste transfers from the beginning of 2024.
Company introduction: Cebenax
An iconic player in bulk transport in the Benelux
Cebenax, based in Tienen, is a well-known transporter specializing in bulk waste. Its fleet consists of ten trucks that make around 35 trips per day in Limburg, East Flanders, Antwerp, and part of Wallonia. In order to digitize its operations and reduce its administrative burden, the transporter has been using Dashdoc's TMS for a year.
Waste transport at the heart of Cebenax's concerns
The waste transport sector requires meticulous administration, especially with the upcoming requirement for digital transport documents starting January 1, 2024.
Correct recording of weights at loading and unloading points is crucial in this regard. A transport management system provides a reliable overview and makes it easier to find data: as a result, data centralization for everyone! Indeed, there's no longer any need to enter data manually as it can be scanned using a smartphone.
How has Dashdoc made a difference?
Streamlined planning
Dashdoc has significantly streamlined our processes.
Previously, we did our planning manually in Excel, but now it's a simple task thanks to Dashdoc Trips, a tool I'm a big fan of as a former planner. Fixed or recurring trips, for example, can be saved as templates, so we don't have to input them every time. The TMS also provides clear reports, giving us an accurate view of turnover per kilometer driven and per driver.
Time savings for operations
The time savings in terms of administration amount to about two full working days per week, according to Mr. Kristof.
We can devote this time to other tasks, such as internal optimization and control. In addition, communication with our customers and follow-up is now much clearer and faster. Although there is still a lot of paperwork because customers work on paper, we plan to move to fully digital administration in the long run, once the e-CMR becomes mandatory.
I find Dashdoc well thought out and user-friendly. So I would call it simple, in the best sense of the word. Also, the Dashdoc team listens to users and monthly updates are made based on our feedback. This has significantly improved the internal operation of Cebenax.
