Bouygues Construction is one of the leaders in sustainable construction. The equipment entity of the Bouygues Group aims to supply construction sites with equipment for public works and construction. The Transport Department handles an average of 36,000 transport requests to or from construction sites. These transports are carried out by drivers who are part of Bouygues Construction and/or transport suppliers, mainly using flatbed vehicles.
What does innovation mean within your company?
Innovation means being proactive about the needs of our partners, construction sites, but also in response to new regulations.
This translates into the acquisition of new-generation trucks running on biogas and the operation of an electric carrier truck with our partner Mauffrey.
What are the challenges or obstacles you face at Bouygues Construction?
Our main challenges in Transport are anticipating 'carbon regulations'. Low Emission Zones (LEZs) will ban polluting trucks, such as diesel, from entering in the short and medium term.
The second challenge is related to the digitalization of our business.
Finally, there is a challenge related to safety: we equip our vehicles with 360° solutions, allowing drivers to have a comprehensive view of their vehicle's surroundings.

The Dashdoc solution allows us tocommunicate with our drivers and subcontractors reliably and quickly. It is the link between transport operations and all the drivers carrying out transport services organized by my department.
We observe a real simplification as we can track in real time where the driver is and see a photo of the goods, where the equipment is delivered or loaded on the construction site and on the technical base.
